You'll probably find that all osteopaths work in slightly different ways. We both work in a "structural" manner, generally using massage, articulation and, when necessary, some form of manipulation.

Charlotte Hunt BSc (Hons) Ost

Charlotte graduated with a first class honours degree in Osteopathy from the College of Osteopaths and received the Don Upton Award for coming third in her year. She has a previous BSc (Hons) degree in Food Science and Nutrition (Home Economics) from the University of Wales.

Charlotte decided to retrain as an osteopath after working for 10 years in the corporate business worlds of Wine and Hospitality PR, Oil and Gas Conference Research and Energy Insurance Marketing. She had turned to an osteopath after experiencing chronic back and neck symptoms resulting from the physical and mental strain from her work. This holistic approach changed her thinking about lifestyle, work and the effects on her health. Over a period of a few weeks, she became symptom-free with osteopathic treatment. Charlotte also became aware of the factors that could cause a recurrence of her condition, therefore enabling her to manage her own health.

Her osteopathic training involved extensive clinical practise and now, like all registered osteopaths, she undertakes ongoing training courses and attends industry events to ensure she keeps up to date with the latest professional practises.

Charlotte has an interest in cranial osteopathy as well the structural approach. She enjoys helping people of all ages and professions - athletes, elderly, students, teenagers, parents, babies, workforce, DIY / gardening enthusiasts, active retired and many more. She has experience in treating a wide range of conditions, having achieved additional qualifications in Sports Injury, Sports Massage and Cranial Osteopathy.

Charlotte gives tailored postural and nutritional advice, plus stretching or strengthening exercises to help patients with ongoing management of their symptoms and prevention of injury recurrence. This holistic approach helps promote self awareness and encourages patients to play a part in their own recovery ensuring a long-term solution rather than a quick fix.
